Abstract

The Jackson Laboratory has received a $1.2 million grant from the Howard Hughes Medical Institute to develop a national repository for genetically engineered mice. Many medical researchers across the country, including the Hughes Medical Institute, have in the past asked the Jackson Laboratory to take over the breeding and distribution of new strains of mice.
