Abstract
Central Maine Power Company (CMP) president Matthew Hunter said during hearings at the Public Utilities Commission that the electric company faces difficulties no matter how the $95 million rate request is resolved. CMP, which serves 485,000 customers in southern and central Maine, is a surplus of power while demand for electricity is dropping.
