Abstract

Beginning July 1, Maine businesses with as few as 15 employees will be required to recycle office paper and corrugated cardboard. Maine companies generated 210,000 tons of office paper and corrugated cardboard in 1991, and requiring the 2,900 small businesses affected by the expanded recycling mandates will increase the amount of waste entering the recycling stream.
