Abstract
After a seven month trial period using pepper spray to subdue violent people, Portland police say injuries to police and suspects has decreased dramatically. Police have used the spray 77 times since November 26, and recorded an 89 percent decrease in injuries to suspects and a 59 percent decrease in injuries to officers. Details.
