Abstract

A new study indicates that saving the balconies in Portland City Hall Auditorium would push the cost of renovating the 81-year-old facility to at least $500,000 over the amount allocated for the project. The authorized budget is about $6.25 million, while the study shows it would cost between $6.8 million and $7 million if preserving the balconies becomes part of the plan. Details.
