Abstract

Elsa, the 175-year-old American elm in Scarborough which earlier this year was placed on the National Honor Roll of Historic Elms, might be threatened by a proposed change in the configuration of the business lots at routes 1 and 114. Ronald Grondin, owner of the Oak Hill Exxon station, wants to put a new paved exit within 35 feet of the tree's trunk. Details.
