Abstract

The Eastern Seaboard Apprenticeship Training Conference, scheduled to be held in Portland in mid-June, has been transferred to New York because of the unwillingness of the state Department of Labor to help organize the event. The loss of the conference is expected to result in the loss of $500,000 to local hotels, businesses , etc. Details.
