Abstract

Article about some of the concerns being voiced because of Gov. John McKernan's proposal to end state funding for the state's Public Health Laboratory. Some believe the move would shift costs to those unable to pay for important public health tests for tuberculosis, sexually transmitted diseases and other maladies.
