Abstract

Charles S. Miller, 46, a Portland native, has developed a plan to to help the village of Catdang in Vietnam to rebuild its dilapidated school. Miller, who teaches in Tokyo, hopes to raise $30,000 by marketing the handcrafted bamboo baskets which the villagers of Catdang produce.
