Abstract

A Superior Court judge has allowed, with conditions, the merger of two Portland medical practices, consolidating the practices of four of the nine cardiac surgeons in Portland. Under the settlement, Cardiovascular and Thoracic Associates and the firm of Morton and Kramer will merge. The state attorney general had argued that the merger would violate the anti-trust laws.
