Abstract

Eight Mainers, led by Greg Brooks of Westbrook, will travel to an area southeast of Jamaica in Columbian waters to search for the remains of a fleet of ships that went down in a storm in 1605. The expedition, organized as a limited partnership under the name Silver Bars L.P., will be working with the Columbian Research Institute to look for what could be as much as 320 tons of treasure.
