Abstract

State transportation officials say that train service between Portland and Bangor is a logical step after rail service is in place between Portland and points south. The Federal Transit Administration is expected to approve passenger service to Portland this fall, at which time the Maine Department of Transporation would do a study to determine the most feasible route from Portland to Bangor.
