Abstract

Brief article about the city of Portland's decision not to buy the Maine National Bank building, which can be purchased for $250,000, but which needs renovation which would raise the cost to an estimated $10 million. The city had planned to use dthe 132,000-square-foot building as office space, possibly leasing some to the state.
