Abstract

Goosefare Beach in Old Orchard Beach, which was closed to swimmers earlier this week, will probably reopen today. Sewage from a broken line near the Western Avenue pumping station seeped into Goosefare Brook on Monday, forcing the closure of a 100-yard-long stretch of beach near the mouth of the brook.
