Abstract

Scarborough police chief Hollis Dixon, who was acting town manager Monday, said that the town had no plans to close any of its beaches despite a sewage leak that saw 300,000 gallons of raw sewage flow into the Libby River. All of the town's clam flats have been closed, but beaches will remain open at least until the results of water tests have been received.
