Abstract

Obituary of Albert F. Barnes, 76, of South Portland, a retired editor and editorial administrator of the Guy Gannett Publishing Co. Mr. Barnes is noted for his story about Mrs. Franklin Roosevelt's refusal to stay at Portland's Eastland Hotel after a desk clerk indicated that the deceased president's dog, Fala, was unwelcome and would have to stay at a kennel.
