Maine's first off-track betting parlor will open today at 1:00 P.M. in Martin's Manor Restaurant in Waterville. The facility is equipped with 23 television monitors that will allow fans to watch and wager on throroughbred and harness races from tracks around the country. Owner Peter Martin said he must generate between $60,000 and $65,000 weekly in paramutuel handles to break even.
