Abstract

Portland mayor Charles Harlow has signed an agreement with Wyland that permits the painter and sculptor to paint a 440-foot-long whale mural on a building at the Maine State Pier, and the city council is expected to approve the deal this week. The painting of the Portland mural will start a 17-week mural-painting tour during which Wyland will paint a mural per week.
