Abstract

R. J. Grondin & Sons of Gorham is suing Deere and Company, which manufactures heavy equipment, for $260,000 as compensation for the amount that Grondin paid the estates of two women who were struck and killed in January 1992 by a backhoe operated by a Grondin employee. The suit alleges that Deere was negligent in the design of the backhoe and should have informed Grondin of potential hazards. Details.
