Abstract

The Trevett post office serves the three Boothbay communities of Hodgdon, Sawyer and Barters islands, and now the 400 residents of the heavily-wooded islands may lose that post office, which many claim acts as a center of the community. Postal officials say the move would save money without reducing service, but residents say service isn't the issue.
