Abstract

Standish Town Council Chairwoman Eva Thompson has announced her opposition to a proposed land swap between Standish and the Portland Water District which would give townspeople access to 194 acres on Sebago Lake. Under the proposal, the town would give up its boat launch area at Routes 114 and 35 in exchange for a permanent lease on a 5-acre boat launch area and a 40-year lease on adjoining property.
