Abstract

The Yarmouth School Committee's ad hoc calendar committee has outlined a proposed school year consisting of four terms with a summer vacation of six weeks duration and three breaks of three weeks each. The proposal would result in the same number of instruction days as the normal school calendar but students would supposedly be less inclined to forget material over the shortened summer vacation.
