Abstract

Robert Keller, a Belfast orthopedist and executive director of the Maine Medical Assessment Foundation, argues that while reforming the medical care system, Maine can avoid the need to ration medical care by adopting less expensive strategies that include eliminating unnecessary tests, hospital admissions, procedures and operations.
