Abstract

U.S. District Court Judge Morton A. Brody ruled that Training & Development Corp., which operates Maine's federally funded Jobs Corps, did not violate the rights of Steffan Duplessis, who had claimed that he had been referred to in ways which denigrated his Franco-American ancestry. The Maine Human Rights Commission in 1991 found that there were adequate grounds to believe that Duplessis had been discriminated against.
