Abstract

When Hurricane Andrew ravaged south Florida last year, it uprooted numerous rare trees in the Fairchild Tropical Garden, a 93-acre preserve just south of Miami. Some of the wood from the trees is currently drying in the Thos. Moser Cabinetmaker plant in Auburn, and is destined to be used as ornamental woodwork in the new library at the University of Southern Maine. Details.
