Abstract
The Trust for Public Land, a national conservation group which acquires land for public use, purchased the abandoned 30-acre Canadian National Railway corridor on the Eastern Promenade and immediately conveyed the parcel into public ownership. The land will be used to create a bike path and pedestrian walkway which will begin near the Casco Bay ferry terminal, wind around the Eastern Promenade and connect to the Back Cove path.
