Abstract

Superior Court justice William Brodrick sentenced Fred Fusco of Westbrook to six months in jail after Fusco pleaded guilty to committing perjury before a member of the state workers' compensation commission in October 1991. The case is believed to be the first in Maine in which an individual was successfully prosecuted for lying about a workplace injury. Details.
