Abstract

The Maine Lobsterman's Association has given tentative approval to a resource management plan that would limit the hours for pulling traps, limit boats to one sternman each and ban Sunday lobstering for part of the year. The proposals could become part of a New England Fishery Management Council plan designed to reduce the pressure on the lobster population. Details.
