Abstract

Obituary of Sister Elsie McCool, 92, a member of the Shaker community at Sabbathday Lake in New Gloucester for most of her life. With a special talent for handwork, she worked on production of poplarware, sewn goods and knit items. She was the last sister to make the famous Shaker cloak, the last of which she produced in the 1970s.
