Abstract

Rep. Tom Andrews, D-Maine, has joined with Rep. Bill Zeliff, R-N.H., in opposing a Department of Defense plan to build a $1 billion Seawolf submarine. The two claim that the same amount of money could pay for three new Los Angeles-class submarines, which could be worked on at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in Kittery.
