Abstract

Divers from Sub Sea International of New Orleans have recovered 676 pounds of mercury from the wreck of the Empire Knight, a British ship which sank off York in 1944. Most of the flasks containing the mercury were missing their necks and stoppers, and some 90 pounds of the metal recovered was not in flasks. Details.
