Abstract

State representative William Lemke, D-Westbrook, has criticized the Maine State Museum for its treatment of the portrait of Civil War hero and former governor of Maine Joshua L. Chamberlain. Lemke says the portrait, which currently hangs out of sight in the State House, should be displayed prominently in the Hall of Flags.
