Abstract
A True's beaked whale which beached itself on Curtis Island in Camden a few weeks ago and subsequently died will be studied by scientists at the Smithsonian Institution. The True's beaked whale is a relatively rare species, and scientists are excited about this one because only three of the whales have ever been spotted in the region between Cape Cod and Newfoundland.
