Abstract

The Scarborough Town Council has toughened the town's firearms law, making it illegal to fire a rifle throughout the town unless the landowner has given consent. The previous law restricted rifle use east and south of the Maine Turnpike, but residents from west of the turnpike had indicated they wanted the provision extended to their areas.
