The U.S. Senate on Tuesday approved a defense authorization bill which includes $2.6 billion for three Aegis destroyers, as well as nearly $5 million for construction at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard and $36 million for machine guns manufactured by Saco Defense Inc. Bath Iron Works is expected to bid on all three of the destroyers. Details.
