Abstract

The Portland String Quartet, formed in 1969, has survived for 25 years with the same four members, making it the second longest-running quartet in the country with the same personnel intact. Maine Public Broadcasting will broadcast a documentary on the group to celebrate their 25th anniversary of making music.
