Abstract

Portland International Jetport Manager Jeff Schultes has proposed charging the Alamo and Thrifty car rental companies, which are located just off the airport, an 8 percent "jetport privilege fee." The four car-rental companies with offices in the airport pay the city a 10 percent commission in addition to rent, and Schultes feels the two off-airport companies should pay their fair share as well.
