Abstract
The Island Institute and the U.S. Coast Guard have reached an agreement that will see ownership of the Heron Neck Light Station, built in 1853 on Green Island, transferred to the institute. The station was heavily damaged by fire on April 29, 1989, and the Island Institute plans to lease the station to an individual who will rebuild the structure at his own expense. Details.
