Abstract

State transportation officials in 1991 commissioned a $685,000 study to determine the need for new exits on the Maine Turnpike. An official with Market Decisions of South Portland, one of the firms which worked on the study, says that new exits on outer Congress Street and near Exit 8 in Westbrook would greatly improve traffic flow in the area.
