Abstract

Officials from the Maine Department of Environmental Protection on Tuesday held an informational meeting attended by more than 150 residents of Buxton and Hollis who are concerned about the quality of well-water in the area. Testing of residential wells in Buxton and Hollis last summer revealed that nine of 17 wells sampled had unsafe levels of arsenic. Details.
