Abstract

A plan by Central Maine Power (CMP) to remove the Bradbury and Spring Island dams on the Saco River has residents and officials of Saco and Biddeford concerned about the threat of flooding. The dams, built in the 1930s to control flooding, would be removed to save CMP an estimated $2.5 million necessary for constructing fish ladders. Details.
