Abstract

The annual report of the Maine Commission on Governmental Ethics and Election Practices shows that spending by legislative candidates during the 1992 campaign totaled $2.7 million, an increase of nearly $1 million over the 1988 campaign. The report also showed that winning candidates in both the House and Senate spent more than the average. Details, list of biggest spenders.
