Abstract

Seth Berner, 37, a Portland lawyer, has filed suit in Cumberland County Superior Court against the city of Portland, claiming that his constitutional right to due process was violated when the city attached a boot to his vehicle because of parking violations. Berner is seeking reimbursement of the $40 he paid to have the device removed and wants the city's boot law to be ruled illegal. Details.
