Abstract

John Hegarty, the husband of Katherine Hegarty, who was shot by police in her cabin on May, 1992, yesterday filed a lawsuit in U.S. District Court in Bangor against five police officers involved in the events leading to Hegarty's death. Her husband claims that his wife's civil rights were violated.
