Abstract

Consultant David Egan of South Carolina has issued a report indicating that either of two plans for the renovation of the Portland City Hall Audiotorium would significantly improve the accoustics. Preservationists think the report might help them save the building's two balconies and its architectural integrity. With and outline of the preservationists' arguments.
