Abstract

The Old Orchard Beach Town Council yesterday placed a 60-day moratorium on new bars, restaurants and certain other businesses in the downtown area. The moratorium will give town officials time to tighten up zoning ordinances in conjunction with a downtown renovation project scheduled for completion by Memorial Day.
