Abstract

The Maine Youth Apprenticeship Program, based loosely on similar programs in Germany and Denmark, has been in place for three months now, and the 15 teen-agers from the Portland area who are participating in it say they're enjoying the switch from classrooms to machine shops, hospitals and insurance offices.
