Abstract

Because of the increasing popularity of hockey, there are plans to build eight new enclosed hockey rinks in the state. In addition, work has resumed on Auburn's Pettengill Arena. Over the past 10 years, the number of youth teams in Maine has increased from 199 to 261. With a list of existing rinks.
