Abstract

The Toy Library in Lewiston, located in the basement of the United Baptist Church, was the brainchild of a group of mothers who realized the area offered too few activities for families with young children. The Lewiston facility is one of three in Maine and about 400 in the country, and offers both a play area and toys to lend. Related stories.
