Abstract

A $26,000, 138-page study by the Portland consulting firm Forrest Associates concludes that a Gulf of Maine aquarium based in Portland could support itself and would be a valuable economic and cultural asset. The study says the aquarium would draw $1.2 million people its first year and more than 850,000 people a year afterward. Details, including list of other U.S. aquariums.
